The Story of

Hidden Pearl Inn & Vineyard

Follow the juniper lined driveway to the top of the hill where you will find a quaint little cottage nestled and overlooking valley and vineyard views. Hidden Pearl Inn has a story as charming as the cottage itself. Originally built around 1900 as a grain storage shed, this small story and-a-half structure later stood on a nearby farmstead approximately 17 miles from us . At one point, it was transported from one farmstead to a neighboring farmstead and used as a playhouse/storage shed for nearly 16 years!  

When its owners were ready to move on to something larger for their next season of life, we saw the perfect opportunity to breathe new life into this small structure. With our background in designing  homes and a passion for creating spaces that foster rest and connection, we envisioned transforming this structure—rich in history—into a peaceful French inspired countryside retreat.

In spring of  2022, this little building was carried on a semi for 17 miles of country roads and treacherously  placed on a new daylight basement  awaiting it's arrival on our property. This expanded its space and guest capacity, comfortably accommodating up to 6 adults. With the help of a young local carpenter and his dad, we lovingly reconstructed it repurposing original materials—barn beams, shiplap, and floorboards—from this building and another aging grain shed on our property, weaving its history back into the very heart of the home.

Our biggest blessing has been meeting and hosting wonderful folks from all over the world both near and far! We love pampering our guests with a homemade treat upon arrival as well as offering some delightful food packages that can be enjoyed right at the cottage along with many other amenities. Hearing our guests respond with "we love it here and don't want to leave" along with many kind and wonderful reviews.... brings great joy and purpose to continue this journey of love.

​What You’ll Love
* King Loft Suite – Cozy up under a skylight with stargazing at night or hang out on the private balcony for the best sunrise vineyard views or sunset valley views. This romantic suite includes a full bath with two vintage dressers repurposed as vanities, a private balcony, a Keurig coffee bar for two, reading chair, desk, and closet.

* Main Floor – Snuggle up on the corner sectional beside the electric fireplace and TV with your favorite book...or enjoy the board games/books/magazines provided, dine at a live-edge wood bar with expansive views of the valley, or prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen and coffee bar. A laundry room with a half bath completes this level.

* Daylight Basement – This charming lower level features rustic original beams, a queen bed, two twin loft beds, full bath, sitting area, a desk, and a cozy media/TV nook.

*Outdoor Spaces – Sip your morning brew on the front porch, toast s’mores at the fire glass table, explore vineyard and timber trails, take in the sunset valley views from the vantage point of a comfy tree swing, or play lighted cornhole, croquet, or bocce ball with your favorite person(s).

Our name comes from the Petite Pearl grapes we grow—sourced to Liquid Art Winery in Manhattan, KS  https://www.liquidartwinery.com/ (only 1.5 hours away and well worth the visit!)... where a variety of wine combinations are crafted . It's also a reflection of what this place has become: a quiet, meaningful hideaway where guests can unplug, recharge, and reconnect with nature and each other.
